Breeding Females ???

James75 Aug 08, 2004 09:03 PM

Hi All...

How much should a female weigh before I try breeding her? The same about a male, what is the ideal weight for a male? I have several females pushing 1200 to 1400 grams now and they are pounding rats.

Thanks for the help!
James

The females should be ready by breeding season if they still eat regularly. Males can breed small normally...but bigger/older is better....I had one breed at 480 grams...it all really depends if the female will let the male...if its producing sperm plugs...and if it just wants to breed or not...
