5 geckos in a 55 gallon tank.... too big for them?

alieliza Aug 09, 2004 12:34 AM

We just put our 5 geckos (4 females and one male) into our newly empty 55 gallon. Is this too large for them. We have two regular hides, and three humid hides (2 with paper towel, one with moss). There is plenty of room...
Thanks

They should be okay.

If I remember correctly, most experienced breeders recommend ideally about 10 gallons per Leo.

I wouldnt worry about a tank ever being too big for them!! as long as you have enough cover, the bigger the better! I have a female alone in a 40 gallon and she's loving it!

If they're not babies, it should be okay. But I would add A LOT more hides to help them feel more secure.
