Steve-- I cheated and I now have "Mr. Chompers" in a 400 gallon circular poly stock tank that's about 8 feet across and two feet deep. And this seems to be more than enough room for him. In the mean time, I'm converting all of my old habitats to new tanks (like we've discussed) and I'm dividing up my species and colonies. (I had some in mixed species habitats.) I'm building my tanks and they're based on Home Depot "Z-Racks". These are heavy duty metal beam racks with four shelves (if you also make the bottom into a shelf) that are 72 inches long and 18 inches wide. Each shelf can hold 3,000 pounds. I'm making the shelves into "tanks"...out of wood, coated by FRP board. This has been a s-l-o-w process, spending almost three weeks per tank. But that's because I'm messing around a lot with building my own filters, live water plumbed into the tanks, float switches, pumps on timers, lights on timers, etc. I'm trying to make them maintenance free, at least as far as the water filtration and the water filling aspects are concerned. Also, I run my own business AND I take care of my animals (almost a full-time job), which really slows me down on the building end of things. --Maxx
