I'm wondering if I can use 11" heat tape but I want a bunch of 18" pieces wired up for each BP tub. Can it be cut to any length?

Can heat tape be cut to 18"?

Although the cut markers are every 12 inches, you can cut it anywhere you want, BUT BUT BUT you must cover the entire exposed cut edge of black heat trace with good electrical tape (and don't use that $.69 electrical tape, use the stuff that costs like $3.00 a roll or more. There is a difference.)
