A little dust-up....

Fifty-plus responses later, where are we? Thanks to those who replied in some positive manner, or raised content-based questions. I'm happy to work through those queries over the next few days (because content takes longer to compose).

For the rest, I hope you had fun hooting and making my secondary point that lack of reading comprehension and a know-nothing attitude is pretty common in some quarters. As Jeff Lemm noted somewhere below, the demagoguery of a few gets really tiresome, and it's a big reason why a rather small proportion of the people who know a lot about monitors (both as captives and in the wild) are posting on the public forums. We have other venues, of course, but they don't serve people who are either new to monitors or would simply like to see a wider range of ideas presented and discussed. That's a net loss to what I suspect is the large majority of KS readers.

I would be happy if you Jeff, Frank and maybe Mark would have these "discusions" more often. I thourouly enjoy them, not the name calling and belittling. I enjoy where you each try to oneup each other with different therories for a simpleton like me to wade through.
Believe it or not, I accually try to learn from these threads.
You guys are great, keep it up.
