mud snake

ive just recently aquired a mud snake and im haveing trouble finding the right food in my area can some one help me with info on alternitive foods thanks

I suggest you return to wherever or whomever you acquired it from. They make poor captives. Mine refused frogs, scented pinks, fish, etc. They slowly wasted away. They get water blisters extremely easily as well, even in tannic water. Captive care of these snakes is almost impossible (although a few people have had success...they are the exception rather than the rule). You can try some reptile suppliers but you might be S.O.L. Good luck.

I agree with Andy, but if you're determined I would look for a fishing shop that sells live bait, especially bait for bass fishing. A lot of them have sirens or salamanders for sale. In fact, the only guy I know who's kept one successfuly turned me on to that source.
