moist humid box...

benzman1 Aug 09, 2004 02:47 PM

I made a moist hide for my leo out of a ziplock container and paper towels. What else can I use besides the paper towel it seems to dry out quickly. Also my leo hides in her rock all day is that normal I hardly see her come out to play. Does she need a man...leo?

terrarium moss is what I use in my loes ziplock bowel....You can get this at any pet store.....As for coming out...Leos are noctural so she will be out at night mostly....And if shes new it might take her awhile to come out even then.....If you get another one 10 gallon would not be big enough for both....20 gallon Long is good for 2 leos.

My wife, kids, and me are now shopping for a 20 - 50 gallon long tank to use as a new leo home. I am also ditching the calci-sand for tile. I just want to make an enviornment the is as close to nature as I can and still keep my leo/leo's safe.

I use bed a beast, it works pretty well, looks comfy to lay on to lol. A 20-50 gallon tank is a nice size, but just so you know, if you decide to get her a friend, get another female since males will sometimes constantly try to breed with females and stress them out.
