Interesting experience

Today when i was looking around my house for herps (do this every day) i came across two brown snakes. this woulden't be very different except that they were the same colours as the 2 i released in the spring and they were about the size they should have been if they were eating (lots of slugs here) this naturally made me happy and got me thinking: are brown snakes semi-territorial or do they stay in an area where they know there is plentiful food. i found them about 300' max away from the places that i found them and i released them in the forest in my backyard. i also found them snuggled up like how my two used to when i had them in their tank, do they mate for life or something? (lol ya right?)
i'm just so happy i found some that i think/am shure are them.

I think it would be practicly impossible for those two to be the same snakes. Unless you identified them by body scars or weird pattern or something. Almost all brown snakes look alike.

I have found many browns that are unique shades, different enough to distinguish them from any others I have found after years of herping. I would say if there is food in the area, it is possible (though can anyone tell for sure?). Snakes go where the food is after all. If they have warmth, security, and good, why is there reason to leave? They might be different snakes, but I wouldn't go as far to say practically impossible.
