Will leo claws grow back?

kinik Aug 09, 2004 03:18 PM

This has me worried. I posted earlier about how i came into possestion of a mistreated leo. I have sprayed the sides of the tank and put in a humid hide. But wat reallyhas me worried is if the claws that he lost becuz of the mistreatment will come back. He doesnt mind being handled but slips very easily where as other leos that i have handled crawl all over me up and down my back with me standing erect perfectly fine. any help would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post.

the only part of the leo that ever really grows back is the tail.

I didnt get to read your other post...but if it was unshed skin problems, I doubt they'll grow back. Most cases of mistreatment and unshed skin leads to the loss of the toe itself and sometiles worse.

However...if it was just the loss of the nails...like if they pulled the leo off of a shirt or something and got the poor little one's claw stuck, it MIGHT grow back... hard to say. Sometimes if a bit of nail i s left it does eventually grow back. Hard to say tho in yor case.

my other post isnt that far down on the first page... their is one other topic inbetween this one and that post.. what i dont think u understand is that every single claw is gone except for one hind leg (if thats what u call it) claw.
