HELP EGG QUESTIOn

jcgecko May 14, 2003 04:20 PM

Im having a little trouble with one of my eggs it has been incubating for 44 days the first 3 weeks at 84-86 degrees (just to be safe) and since then at around 89 (to speed the process up a bit since im so excited about first baby leo). It has definitly swollen in size and when candles about half the egg is dark and the other part grows red with pains(obviously being fertile). My question is It has some spots on it growing in size that are almost translucent. I was wondering if this is sign of it getting ready to hatch. Plz post back soon or email me at PSUlax08@AOL.COM. tHANKS

That's what my first ever successful egg looked like prior to hatching (although I incubated at 80-82 so it took much longer) Swollen in size, some translucent patches, and one morning you wake up and you've got a new leo.
