Thinking of breeding Halmahera

I'm thinking of breeding my male Hal with a female I see for sale in a local herp store. Can I keep both snakes in one 20 gal tank ? Also must I cool down both snakes over the winter ? When should both snakes be introduced to one another (if they are not living together to begin with) ?
