pac man substrate

CurtisR_25 Aug 09, 2004 05:30 PM

I am getting ready to purchase a pac man and I already have a 10 gallon set up. Would it be ok to keep him in a tank with potting soil and moss. I have it set up with a layer of gravel then sand then activated charcoal to allow the soil to drain and not become rotten or mildewed. I was just wondering if I put a layer of moss over that would it be ok? Any other bit of info would be helpful, thanks alot.

I personally would not use the moss. It can act as a hiding spot for feeder insects such as crickets and mealies which might bite or stress the frog at some point or another. Cricket bites can turn nasty too. I bought a frog that had a few and they became infected after I bought it. Was around 100 dollars when shots and exams were done.
