Krait

...........Has anyone in North America been able to successfully raise in captivity the Bungarus Ceylonicus (Sri Lankan Krait) and what true facts might someone amongst the experienced snake keepers here be able to tell me about the effects of envenomation by this snake, and it's effects ? How lethal is it ?

Also who might know something about Calliophis Melanurus Sinhaleyus (Sri Lankan Coral Snake) ?

Be interested in seeing pictures of these two reptiles as well, if anyone has them.

Many thanks.

I don't know about the breeding part of the question but the venom is quite toxic. Mostly pre-synaptic neurotoxins, some of which don't reverse very well with antivenom. Bill Hasst said that his worse bite was by a Blue Krait if I remember correctly.
