z10silver Aug 09, 2004 07:08 PM

I just got a baby california kingsnake and I noticed every few minutes it makes a "chirping" noise. What does this mean?

Are you sure it's not wheezing? I never heard my cali king make any noise.

Isn't weezing caused by temperatures that are too cool? The tank has a warm side of about 97 under the aspen and 90 on top. What could be causing the weezing?

97 and 90 degrees? That is WAY to hot! Should be more like 82-85 degrees.
