First Cobra?

bryan139 Aug 09, 2004 07:36 PM

Before I start, nobody freak out! Stictly CURIOSITY. What would be the best species of cobra as a first? One probably wouldn't want a larger one, so the king or even forest cobra would be out. Although all highly toxic, some are more potent than others. From what I've read the cape and even monocled seem pretty nasty (as far as toxicity). A spitter doen't seem like a logical choice. (again don't freak out) So what is the "safest" choice? I only ask because of the natural fascination that accompany these animals.

Personally, I'd go with a red spitter. But one of the aspidelaps would be a good choice as well.
