Breeding boas

Visahari Aug 09, 2004 09:33 PM

My male BCI has been courting my female BCI since june. I never botherd to cycle him, as I waiting for the upcoming breeding season. However it has been cool here in Ohio, and well he is all over her, tickling her with his spurs, rubbing his body against hers, wrapping his tail around hers, etc. I have yet to confirm any copulation, and im assuming if there had been any, he would lay off the attempts to copulate with her (at least that is what i have read). Am i wrong? They do get seperated for feeding, the female eats great, but the male shows no interest (which i understand to be typical). My question is this: What can i do to make the female more willing, or do i just play the waiting game and leave it up to the efforts of the male?

THanks

-Matt

If the male is trying I'd just give the time. I wouldn't do anything that may upset what is already working. Love the saddles on that girl!!
