Help with this morph. (picture)

jarosh Aug 09, 2004 09:51 PM

I was wondering if someone could help me out identifying which color morphs are showing through on this little guy. The father is a Blizard who was proven to be also Lavender. The mother was thought to be only Lavender, but based on the offspring there is something else going on in there. Of the offspring all appear to be sporting the LAv gene, but 8 of ten also had this pink hue to them. This became more distinct after the first shed. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

Paul,Looks sorta like hypo on my screen...but not too sure if my screen is accurately displaying his coloration. What bloodline/breeder are his parents from? I wonder what it will look like if yellow starts to appear in another 6-8 months??? Are you keeping him? Could also be a variation of lavender.
Lets see....amel...charcoal...and lavender in that genetic pool..hmmm...Very interesting mix.

A blizzard proven to be lavender?
Could it simply have been a really light opal and not a blizzard at all?

Maybe. Pink tones can also be pastel.
