Alrite, At the time i saw this snake i was in Pensacola florida (northern) it came out of a drain pipe outside of my apartments.
anybody know what kind it might be?
ill will post an overhead picture shortly so you can see the patterns on its back.

Nerodia f. fasciata. The key to pleuralis is that the dark bands are smaller than the spaces between them.

I have seen a few that were only identified by the belly pattern for positive. Looks more like fasciata though.

i beleive it is a Broad banded water snake.... according to the pattern and keeled scales.
