Acidifying water?

c&f Aug 10, 2004 09:44 AM

Hi, I have a small colony of Asian Leaf turtles and I've been having some difficulty finding a safe media to acidify their water, as they have a tendancy to get a fungus on their skin if the water does not have a low enough ph. The pond holds about 80 gallons.

Thank you!

I'm not a big fan of "pH down" or vinegar but I have used both.
If you have 80 gallons of water maybe you should try oak leaves or pine needles int he filter media area.
