Update on my new corn and a Great excuse for skipping the Hamburg show

PAsnake Aug 10, 2004 09:58 AM

Seems to be doing fine drinking alot since the regurg. Doesn't seem to be loosing and noticeable ammount of weight. Saturday he actually deficated some hairy poo, so he did get to digest some before the regurg. He is starting to become more active, a first for him as untill now he has only cruised the tank right after i handle him. I think he may be looking to eat, but 10 days ins't till Saturday. He is getting more skittish of me and actually did a tail rattle and i thought he was going to strike at me when i changed his water earlier this morning. He has done the tail rattle some the first week-week and a half, but nothing like this he meant business tail was going crazy, and he s'd up lol. I slowly put the water dish down and slowly took my hand out of the tank laughing at him the whole time, highly amusing.

Well i got out of the block party gig, but couldn't make it to the Hamburg show because our lab went into labor a few days earlier than expected. She had 9 puppies all alive and screaming between 6 and 11 PM Sunday Aug 8th. Our vet seemed shocked that it went so easy and all were alive and still are. We though she was miscarying near the 1 month mark but everything turned out A.O.K.

Sorry about the off-topic, but here is the proud momma and her litter, picture taken about 18 hours after birth of first puppy.

They are great dogs, she had a bad case of the terrible 2's that lasted nearly 3 years lol. We were hoping to get a chocolate female to keep even though we knew it was a long shot. We're gonna keep a black female. Just can't wait untill they are able to go run around in the back yard with mom.
