A real NEWBIE question. . . .

a3reptiles Aug 10, 2004 10:01 AM

Although I am not a newbie, I have a very simple question, can anyone tell me what LTC means? Example: I have 1.3 adult BCI's the are not CB (captive bred) but LTC.

I know it is WC, but what does it stand for exactly???

LTC = Long Term Captive.
This would be a specimen which has been taken from the wild and maintained in captivity over a period of time.
Be careful, as this description is widely open for interpretation, as long term may be a month for some and a year or two for others.
Personally, I believe a LTC is a specimen which has been in captivity for over one year, no less.
