New Baby ~ And a Question!

devious_froggy Aug 10, 2004 12:03 PM

I picked up my new little girl last sunday from Mountain Geckos in mission BC (awsome breeders BTW!) and shes absolutley beautiful (I'll post pics as soon as i get a chance to take some!) But she hasnt eaten anything yet Shes still very young, so I was wondering how long she can go without eating before I should start getting concerned?

I have decided to name my 1st leo Maverick. His last owner didnt want him and neglected and underfed him.

I think she must have shead already, she's not quite THAT young,I'd say maybe a month old.

Yes, I am having a fecal done, but my vet is booked up so I cant get in untill next week. But my question was more how long should she go without eating because of the stress of a new enviroment? I'm quite sure she isnt suffering from a huge parisite load, and shes not skinny at all, but when should I start to worry? sorry about the noobish question :P Its just neeb 6 years since I've had to deal with a baby, and my other leo dosent even let food start to run away before she eats it!

Ok, here a pic i just took. it really itnt the best (terrible lighting) and i didnt want to bother her too much as I think thats why she's not eating. actually when i tryed to feed her thismorning she just hissed at the food I'm going to try some crix tonite and if she dosent eat those i will give the breeder a call.

WoHOO! ok, I'm relieved, she just ate 3 crickets! I guess I'm Just going to have to switch her over to meal worms latter. But i am suprised she didnt eat them because the breeder was feeding her both mealies and crix.
