Plants for terrerium

wolfgirl591 Aug 10, 2004 02:37 PM

Ten baby gators just hatched last week and I was wondering if irish moss and rosemary would be harmful to put in their cage. Also, I have them on paper towels right now and I was wondering whether I should keep them on that or switch to organic potting soil.
Any help would be great
Thanks

I don't see any problem with the plants. When I had my babies on soil, I noticed a lot of it showing up in their feces and I got worried about impaction and switched to paper towels. So, if you go with soil monitor them carefully. I'm not sure if potting soil would be the best bet as a lot of them contain manure, fertilizers, etc. I think that it would be safest, if you go with soil, to just find some stuff in your yard.

Congrats on the babies!
Alice
