I thinking about switching my fish from their 15 gallon tank to the geckos 10 gallon tank and put the gecko in their tank. My question is will the fish light provide enough heat for the leo and is the tank to big for a single leo

15 is perfect for a single leo. make sure to clean it thoroughly. but is this in the best intrest of the fish? in a ten gallon tank, the rule of thumb is to not have more then 10" of fish. also, i dont think that the fish lights produce any heat at all.

What kind of a light do you have for your leo now? they need a decent heat source. I use 75 watt Night Glo moonlight lamps for mine in addition to a heated hide. A regualar aquarium light won't put out any heat at all-just light. I know nothing about the fish but as for leos I don't think there's any such thing as "too big" of a tank, lol. Remember, in the wild the whole world is their playground!

you really shouldn't use a heat cave because leos can be burned by them just wanted to tell you wat ive been told

I am a leo lover i currently own only 1 leo but who cares. ialso have a fire-bellied toad and a shiba inu which is a japanese dog.

yeah I made sure that the heat cave was low enough on heat that they wouldn't get burned by it even if they sat on top of it which they never do. its a very nice gentle warmth. Thanks for the concern though!
