I have a cage with a 3 ft pond in it and i don't want to have to empty it every day with a bucket. What type of filter can i use to clean up the 4 ft water monitors poo poo?
Where can i find large logs for the monitor to bask on? They are too expensive at regular pet stores so if anyone knows a easy and cheap way to get some?
THank you

I have a Fluval filter in my water dragon enclosure. I still change the water at least 2 times a week and scoop the poo out daily. People w/ water monitors will have better info. I do know it will be a ton of work.

PS. I have a drain in the bottom of their water that goes through the floor and outside the house. I am lucky that my wife did not mind me drilling holes in the floor.

There are water dragons, chameleons, and monitors in my jungle room.

Logs are easy to find if you live close to a river or lake. I need logs, I travel the river banks and pick up driftwood, take it home, spray with bleach and water, let it dry and bingo. I got wood.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
