I found this lil guy (or girl can't really tell) at petco for 20 bucks. He stood out from all the other normalish looking geckos so I bought him on a whim. He's been getting more colorful every shed and I'm loving it. Considering breeding when he gets older. What morph would you say it is? Sorry pic is kind of out of focus I'll try to take a better one.

I think that's a Reduced Patern Tangerine leopard gecko. It has somewhat of a little carrot tail but I think it has to be a certain percentage of carrot for it to be considered a "carrot tail". If it has less than ten spots then it's a Hypo-Tangerine.

Since you bought him (her?) at a petco you need to check him really well for unshed skin and watch their behavior.. if its eating normal, pooping normal, generally being normal becuase sometimes chain stores have geckos that have parasites. If not everything is normal concider having a fecal done.

I have decided to name my 1st leo Maverick. His last owner didnt want him and neglected and underfed him.

I've had him for I'd say a month now and the lil bugger eats like nobody's business. Poops on a regular basis too. He was a little nippy at first but now is extremely docile.
