well i had this problem as well.. at firt i would just kill them all and put chinesse soup containers filled with water under the legs of the table my 2x2x4 was on.. only till the next day i find 100 more in there. so i thought they made a nest in my potted ficus, switched the ficus out, then the next day they were back, 100s of em... i eventually found out that they were living inside the hollow frames of my aluminum cage.. so i had to use polyurathane ("great Stuff" you know the foam sealant that expands?) and sealed up all the crevaces of the cage. after that no more ants.. hope this helps
