Hi everyone,
I recently purchased my first pair of Candoia boas - my first boas ever actually - last Thursday. They are a wildcaught pair of C. bibroni australis that I received from an importer. Tonight I got one of them to feed for me, which was a great surprise because I had always heard thet WC Solomon Trees were difficult to get feeding on rodents. I simply took a 4-5 day old pinkie and wraped it in some lizard shed (Uroplatus henkeli gecko shed to be exact). The male of the pair flicked his tongue a few times and snatched it. So anyway, my real question is this - how often should I feed these guys? I have read many differing opinions, but the majority seems to say 3-4 weeks in between meals. Do you all concur? I would ideally like to breed these snakes next year, so I'd like them to be in the best condition possible. Thanks all, and I'll post pics once I have them settled in and feel comfortable disturbing them briefly for a photo shoot. Thanks!
