I recently got an albino pacman frog. I read a bunch of stuff on how to keep them and much of it was contradictory. So for my little froglett i used aquarium gravel as a substrate, had a little dish for soaking, and some spagnum moss for hiding in. I have a heating pad on the bottom of the tank and the temp was usually 79 degrees. After about a week i noticed it looked really fat. It has spent most of it's time under the moss and i wanted to check if it was ok, well it's not. It looks almost like it's filled with air.
From what i've found on my quest 'round the web is it had dropsy, does anyone know of a way to treat it?
There are suggestions of adding salt to the water, baths of certain aquarium chemicals, and piercing the bloated belly with a sterile needle. The first to seem to me like really misguided adivice due to the permeability, and sensitivity of amphibian skin. Any help or advice at all would be really useful
