Wow, two anerys from WC females... How is that possible.. Is'nt that the same as winning the lottery. One in a million Couldn;t it be that these are very dark normals? I hatched this Bloodred from which I thought to be an Anery too. As it turns out three sheds later it is a normal Bloodred:

After hatching:

Congrats..

It is possible that these two hatchlings are just very dark normals, but it isn't as unlikely to get aneries from wc snakes as one might suppose. After all, anerythrism is one of the wild type colors, in that there are corns in the wild that are anery.

In fact, in some areas of Florida in particular, the number of aneries is greater for the wild population than for the "normals." At least, this is what I have been told by those in whom I place a great deal of trust on the matter. I have never herped wild corns in Florida, myself.

Some pics would be even more "coolness" to share!!!
