Difference between anery and ghost stripe...

throatoyster Aug 11, 2004 09:04 AM

I just got a few new corns, one of which was said to be a ghost striped, but I'm thinking it might be an anery. The stripe is just kinda throwing me off with the color, so can anyone who has either post pics so I can see the differnce between and anery stripe and a ghost stripe? I'd post a pic, but I don't have a camera.
Thanks!

That wasn't a normal Ghost corn, that was an exceptional Ghost corn LOL, Here is more of a Striped Corn. It is the darkest Striped Ghost I have, but My Ghost are on the light side, they could be a bit darker, it is hard to tell if they are a Dark Ghost or a Light Anery sometimes......

AMEN... I got an Anery and a Ghost '04 hatchlings last year... they were obviously different from one another. After a few months, I took them both out for a comparison photo shoot, and they looked identical! I since then lost the ghost, and acquired another normal anery... I call it anery because it looks like the other "anery" but they are both the most odd color.... a pale pinkish lavender instead of the color I would expect from an Anery.

Here's the comparison photo of the Ghost and the Anery.

Yeah... I def think its and anery now that I see that, but the thing is... that's what I really wanted to begin with lol. I couldn't be mad at the dealer considering both the snow and anery have absolutely flawless stripes all of the way to the tail.. not to mention I got both of them for only $40! Thanks for the pics!
