Just got off the phone with Dela to become a verified shipper. And they gave me some HUGE hooplah about needing to visit my "establishment" and they will need to see some License.. and some document history of my business... blah blah blah.

Did I contact the wrong department or is this what you all had to do as well?

Yes, we did this as well about 10 years ago. They will send an agent to your establishment and he/she will visually confirm that you are a reptile dealer/shipper, they will take down some info from your license and you will need to provide them with an account history and answer a few questions.
It only takes about 15 minutes. No big deal.
Continental does the exact same thing. We got verified thru them about 5 years ago.

You can call the Delta 800# and talk to them regarding shipping.. You actually do not need to be certified to make a reptile shipment.. All you have to do is call, set up shipment through the 800#, they will contact the local hub, you take in the package, show them the contents, seal it up and its on its way.

Unfortunately here in San Diego they are bastards about that. I told them I needed to ship some reptiles, and they stated that you MUST be registered with them - no way around it. I asked her If she knew what she was talking about, and if she understood me as well... sure enough.. no reptile shipping unless your verfied - was told this by 3 different people in 3 different departmends of shipping...

YOu know what else confused me... is I see people saying "Delta DASH" as an option for shipping... yet when i called and spoke to the DASH departement, they said "no we do not ship animals, you must speak to the pet travel dept" which they only ship reptiles air cargo....
