Its not lookin good.We are coming from Wisconsin and I am not sure if they will even fly into Florida.Does the show go on or what????If any one hears anything please post.

Well, you are right.. I did see some flight delays up north on the eastern seaboard...but no cancellations. I dont' think either storm will be very heavy..not this far north anyway. Bonnie is still a tropical storm and is producing some heavy rain, moving up to the Panhandle/mouth of the Miss. Charley on the other hand is an acutal hurricane (level 2 and about 100mph), but is threatening Cuba and the FL Keys. From Daytona, the Keys are about 12-14 hours away. I think we will get the usual after effects here on the west coast of FL...high wind and some heavy rain and moderate flooding. Daytona however, is on the other coast (luckily) and will probably be fine. Might get some rain and wind, but I think if we all squish together, we'll still fit in the lobby of the hotel LOL.

Been keeping in touch with Gus since he's driving in from TX. So far, he has had nice weather and has already made it to Lake Charles. He should hit Pensacola by nightfall, and Daytona by tomorrow evening.

We don't get those in California, but it is 103 here today. There will be no escaping the heat though, with all that humidity in FL! See you all in Daytona!!

Hey I agree with Shane, hot hot hot out here in Northern California. Should be interesting, but a change none the less. Have to hunker down in the adam's mark bar ...See ya tomorrow.

Hi Kevin....we're just 2 hours south of u.....leaving tommorrow a.m......looking forward to Daytona , as usual, no matter what the weather brings.....bringing any suprises with u ?....c u tommorrow at the ice breaker....Ron....La Finca Boa....Port Charlotte.....

So I guess all the democrats will be staying home, right Arnold? I thought I was in a bind today when the Sheriff canceled all vacations and leaves scheduled for it. But after a bit of begging and letting him know that I had Hotel reservations and such he told me (via his representative) that I could still go on my planed trip. Although this does mean that I will be missing massive amounts of overtime (you gotta love FEMA and the FEDS) but I still would rather go to the show then make all that money watching it rain!

I am looking forward to meeting alot of people I have had the pleasure of speaking and dealing with over the years in person. I just hope the drive from N.J. is not too rainy. i have been through many worse here in NC ....

so a lil rain aint going to stop this bus ... we will be rolling into the adams mark on fri evening around 5-6 ish look forward to meeting some people and of course having some drinks wont hurt lol

I was all set to make the 3 hour drive from my house, cash in hand. Then the boss calls and says I can't go out of town this weekend because I am assigned to a shelter in case of a huricane. One of the drawbacks to law enforcement I guess.

Our Sheriff called everyone to arms too, but he let the few of us with schedule leave out of town go as sheduled. I was sweating it though! Sorry i won't get to meet you this time around, maybe during some of the South FL training classes, try and stay dry
