Daytona reptile expo /Hurricane?

has anyone heard what the status is with the hurricane approaching Florida? I'm guessing it's still a go but wonder if anyone has heard anything. It's gonna stink if it gets canceled!!!

I would hate to see the Daytona show get canceled or cut short but look at the bright side maybe some people would come home with money to spend at the local shows.

It is supposed to hit just south of Tampa. (where I am)
and head north across the state. They usually diminish in strength as they move across land so the strength will depend on what path it takes across the state.
Should make landfall by about 2 PM on Friday night. That was the last report I heard.
But then the info could change at any moment.

I hope it misses you and enjoy the show. I have a show here in Virginia the end of the month so I'm still hoping some people come home with money to spend. LOL.

Ya I herd 39 mph gust in daytona which is weak. But I don't think that the show will be cancled, I mean hurricanes can change course in a flash. To bad for tampa though. They weren't ready at all. They are going to get slammed.

I was planning on leaving Alabama on Friday morning, that puts my arrival time in Daytona right about when the hurricane gets there too! I'm keeping a close eye on the weather and just might leave Saturday. The hotel has no "natural disaster" clause that I can get out of my reservations with. Does anyone know when most of the vendors are planning to get there and set up?

Daytona beach WILL NOT be under any kind of hurricane watch/warning. Hope to see everyone there.
