is any one else having MAJOR problems with fruit flies??

It seems that if i leave fruit and veggies out for more than 6 hours the damn buggers just explode and try to over throw my house!! EVERY SUMMER this happens,.....ugh

actually, I am having trouble encouraging ENOUGH fruit flies to explode for both wild flighted and cultured flightless populations LOL. Of course this is all outdoors rather than in the house (rotting bananas are just too overpowering a smell for the indoors)... got a hundred or so voracious gray treefroglets I'm raising.
