when ever my girl eats she drools like crazy. i havent noticed any of my other snakes do this. the other day she was eating and took the hopper from the back, when she realized she couldnt eat that way she let it go and there were these long strings of drool. she drools all the time but ive never seen her drool that much. is it normal?

...other than handling a snake shortly after drinking, or an ongoing respiratory infection (pneumonia), the most common cause is an injury to the pharynx (throat) or presence of a foreign body (ie wood chip) in that area. A snake may attempt to feed but then cease feeding efforts due to dysphagia (painful mouth/swallowing). If this drooling continues for much longer than the next few days and particularly if it doesn't successfully feed I recommend it be examined by a retile vet.
Good luck!
