Tank odor

crtoon83 Aug 11, 2004 10:28 PM

My male neonate just shed, and I took it out of the tank and noticed a horrific smell coming out of the tank. I had noticed it slightly earlier when cleaning, but I thought I got rid of it. My licorice stick's tank never smells like that! What's causing this? Whats the best way to get rid of it?

Thanks,
Chris

Normally when you get a strong horrible smell it's a regurge.Use paper towels as a substrate so you can find out exactly were the smell is comming from.If it's the poo I would have a fecal done.Is it musking when you first pick it up?

how do i tell when it musks? it usually just lays there now when i pick it up and lays curled in my hands for 5 minutes before it starts crawling around hwhen i take it out of the tank. Do I use dry or wet paper towels? and yes...its poop stinks to high hell...i know because when i first got him, he did it on my hands and it stunk so bad...
