As long as your room temps fall between 60 and 80 you dont have to worry about it.If it's really cool I wouldnt feed till you get back.

Paul is right, don't worry about the light. If you feel the temps will be a little too low just wait until you return. The snake will be fine.
One question though. Why do you need to go to a pet store to get a light bulb?
Just put in a normal light bulb. Cheaper and a wider variety of wattages to fit your needs.

you will go broke buying those "daylight" bulbs from the pet store. take yourself down to walmart or home depot and get 4 soft white bulbs for 75 cents. they're the best. lol. I use blacklights on mine all the time, for a few reasons. When I first got my first snake, i tried the white light during the day and a blacklight at night. This quickly came to an end. one is that 2 fixtures for one tank was one too many. and i wasnt going to burn my hand every night to change a danged bulb. But also, they seemed to be scared by the bright white light. Honestly, wouldn't you be scared if you came out of a cave and were blinded by a big bright white light coming from the sky? lol.

Now I keep them under a blacklight bulb 24/7. I have a 60 watt in my 29 gallon, and a 60 watt in my 20 long, however I went down to home depot and bought a table lamp dimmer to cut it down halfway. Works great.

Have fun on your trip! you're probably already gone! lol.
