Question(s) about lighting...

boogernsnot Aug 12, 2004 01:53 AM

i know that a turtle needs a basking light and a uvb light, but my question is: how long should each stay on? i have my lights set on a timer. i had the UVB and the BASKING lights set to come on at the same time, which was about 10 hours a day (simulating daylight)... is this right or should i change it? does the UVB light need to be on longer than the basking light? just wondering.. sorry about so many questions! thanks in advance for any advice

it sounds like you're doing it right Both lights together make up the turtles "sun" so if you copy the real sun its a good schedule...
