I'm expecting a 2 mo. old female Peruvian Rainbow Boa on Friday, and am very excited. I've got the warmer end of her terrarium at 88° F (31° C), and the cool end at 75° F (24° C). Her pool of water located on the cooler side, and the humidity is steady at 90%. I'm using green ESU Reptile Terrarium Carpet on the bottom, and her tank also contains two caves to hide in (one on each end of the temperature gradient) and a piece of gnarly driftwood mounted on slate to climb on.
Does this setup sound ok? Any hints, tips, and general observations from those who are keeping this species would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
