more about drooling...

KINGD Aug 12, 2004 07:41 AM

when i got her i was told she was cb. later found out she was wc. anyhow since ive got her she has shed once and has grown ALOT, and pounds fuzzys and hoppers back no prob. though she is being picky cause im trying to switch her over to f/t ( i dont feed her live. i always knock the mice out.) she ONLY drools when she eats. not when handleing or anything else. again with her having no prob other wise and her doing this since i got her do you still think i should get her looked at?

I would take her to the vet to get her checked out. It might have a disease. anyway, just get it looked at.
good luck

i called bob clark today. aparently as long as its only while eating its normal. her drool is sorta like our saliva. its produced to help them swallow. i guess my girl just gets really excited when she eats. if i notice it at any other time i will get her checked but for now she seems fine.

I admire Bob Clark very much but he is not a vet. Scott Michaels is a vet (DVM=vet). If I were you I'd listen to him and go to a vet. Drooling at any time is NOT normal.
