What type of prepared food (pellets, paste, etc) have your BTS taken? I'm asking not those prepared diets for reptiles, but for other animals, besides dog food and cat food. I have had sucses with bird pellets.

I don't give my BT any processed food 'pellets'. I don't even use frozen vegetables! I use only fresh vegetables and fruits, and a small amount of catfood blended up together.
Yeah, I agree. No processed foods for my Bluey. Only fresh foods: fruits/veggies/greens, lean meats (chicken, ground turkey, etc) and occasionally all natural cat/dog food. I don't even use frozen veggies.

I am just asking for added variety to mi BTS food. Besides the fruits, veggies, feeders, cat/dog food, etc, i would like to add some other new ideas as well. Everyone seems to always use cat/dog food. I'd like to think outside the box once in a while.
I'd personally just try different fruits, veggies, meats, feeders - but I don't know what you've tried.

I've tried dog food, cat food (almost the same with dog food), crix, meallies, earthworms, bird food pellets & tortoise pellets (soaked, for added fibre & variety) pinkie, fresh veg & fruit (morning glory, a tiny bit of lettuce, carrots, papaya, banana, tomatoes, a lil bit of red pepper/ paprika, babyfood, peaches, kale, bok-choy, green beans, etc). I've also found out that most babyfoods are just made out of friut/ veggies and water (the fruit/ veg type), so i can make them at home (i also like to cook, and made dog biscuits once
). They dont sell waxies, silk, trebo, / zophobas here. I would like to try grasshoppers if i can get em (herping here is supported by the fish & bird pet industry, so i gotta find as much recources as i can). They do sell crabs, but they are rather expensive. One could cost me as much as a packet of earthworms. I tried fish a few times. He loves it, and is enticed with the fishes movement on land. I know its unnatural. Any other ideas?
BTW, my skinks are Indonesians, wich means they live in woodland/ forest. I believe it MAY encounter a fish once in a while. but if not, what are the effects of feeding fish to BTS? The only effect that i've seen in Bluey is he now has a shinier skin deeper, intense colouring.
One more thing. Bluey is always rather short tempered (considering he's WC and a gigas, i take it quite normal) when i approached his pen / try to pick him up. After i fed him. he is mellower and relaxes. He also relaxes a bit when i carry him, rather when i approach him in his pen/bucket (his territory???). Only got bitten once, and that was by accident (my fault actualy). How can i make him relax a bit more?
It is great (and fun) to provide a variety of a diet to them.
Here's some ideas (I don't think you listed them, if so forgive me): hissing cockroaches and snails (they give them a great jaw workout and the shells are high in calcium), shredded chicken breasts (I just throw some in a crockpot for awhile, shred and serve to both my bluey and my dog), cooked ground turkey meat, fig (excellent staple fruit-high in fiber and calcium), try different greens (lettuce is not too nutritious, the bulk of their food should be greens. Collard, mustart, turnip, etc are the best. Followed by endvie, escarole, kale, bok choy, etc), of course other fruits (mango, raspberries, papaya, mango and fig are the best), and I've been thinking of trying cactus (despined, of course).
Have you tried to buy any insect feeders online? Silkworms are the absolute best (if not one of the best) nutrition wise.
Here's a site with nutrtion chart, granted it was made for beardies, but the breakdown applies no matter what animal you're talking about. I try to follow it for my bluey. (Click on Nutrition Content)
I'm sending you an email.

I just steer clear of it since it's generally recommended to do so. I'm not sure of any negative effects that may occur.
