After reading alot about them here and in publications i decided to get some Chucks too. I own a young pair from last year. I'm really happy with them.
Here's a pic of the male. Hope you enjoy it!

How bit are they? They look like they have a lot of room in there. Loved the photo!

Hi,

the Chucks live in a nearly 260 gallon viv in which they can climb the back and the 2 side walls. The walls are made out of polystrene covered with cement. Then the cement was sealed with weatherproof color mixed with sand. I took me (with pauses)almost 3 weeks to finish it. But now its fun to watch them race over the fake rocks.
Attached is the whole viv.

The male is now 10 inches long, the female is a little smaller. So I hope they'll breed in a couple of years.

The set up is made for chucks!!!! I commend you in doing the research and getting it right before you got the chucks!!! They should be happy as ever with all those places to climb & hide!! Your chucks should breed easily in that habitat.
I bet you have no problems getting em to scarp down a plate of veggies.

Welcome to chucks!! Better than them ol Bearded Things anyday!!!!

Eve I was trying to use my German, because I remembered that Thommy said he was from Germany. Basically "tried" to say It is great and I love the set up. Thommy I'm afraid that my chucks may revolt, and demand I design and build a similar set up! I'm a bit concerned as they have been in conference for a while.... I am starting to price out necessary supplies in order to keep the peace!

Hi,

I'm really happy you all like the viv. But more important, I really do think the chucks enjoy it.
In their old cage (50 gallon) they were really anxious and shy and hid when I stepped in front of them. After one week in the big one they even eat some dandelions out of my hand
It's a great fun to watch them run and jump around or just hang on the walls.
