Painted eggs

miltb Aug 12, 2004 10:56 AM

I am looking for opinions on how these eggs are doing...the one in front looks much bigger than the others and looks like it will pop. My main concern is the gray/black shading on the eggs..I have not seen that before. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I can't answer your question but I would suggest posting this pic. and your question on the RES forum also and asking them. That way if you don't get an answer here you might get one there. They get more posts than over here.

I am sorry no one answered on the RES forum. At least someone answered here! Anyway it's been a while, how are your eggs doing?

Thank you for responding and inquiring...they actually all hatched this past week. From about Wednesday to Saturday they came out, one unfortunately hatched but died a few hours later. The others are doing well!

That's great! losing only one sounds like great results to me. I am sure more would have died in the wild. Congrats on your new babies. Do you have any pictures?
