Easterns and Florida Kings tend to get larger than most of the other subspecies. I have another yearling Eastern thats only 28" long and he is a month older than the 37" Ga. yearling I have so I think these guys are the exception and not the norm. Is your Cal a yearling ? If so 27" is a pretty decent size for a Cal. Ive raised a handfull of Cal Kings and I never really have had them over 24" at a year of age.
