My first Bearded Dragon hatchling emerged today, with the umbilicus and a small part of the remaining yolk still attached. The yolk fell off, but the umbilicus is still attached. Is this common in baby beardies? Thanks for any information.

Yep, very common. Next time put the little guy in a clean sandwich container with some damp paper towell in the bottom and leave him in the incubator for 24 hours. He'll absorb the sack in that time.
