Big Speckled King

SalS Aug 12, 2004 05:17 PM

You guys like posting pictures of your monster easterns, well my eastern is still pretty small (3 feet), so here is a picture of my big Speckled Kingsnake. I don't know if he counts as a monster, but he is the biggest one I've ever seen. Right now I have him at 62 inches, or just a couple of inches over 5 feet.

That's a great looking Speckled. Is he CB or wild-caught? I have a yearling female that still likes to musk me frequently. I'm hoping she grows out of it soon. I held a wild-caught male a week ago that was fresh out of the wild and he was the sweetest snake. Completely underrated in my estimation. They are beautiful animals.

wild caught, central Alabama

Glad to see he's looking so good. Has he stayed pretty calm?

Ah, Harris County Texas, my old stomping grounds. I used to live off FM 1960 near Greenspoint. About where in Harris Cty did you find that beaut?

That king looks like it has some L.g. splendida in it too. Being at the western edge of holbrooki range, it makes sense to.
