Ideas for tank set up?

Anners Aug 12, 2004 05:21 PM

To keep her from escaping again I have bought a nice new lid for Medusa's 45gal tank that can be expanded to larger tanks as she gets bigger. I thought it would be nice to finally "pimp out" her tank since we finally have one she will be living in for awhile. (She is a wee bit less than 3'.)

I would love any and all ideas and suggestions y'all might have about her tank. I would love to go all out and make it into a paradise for her, and eventually make a much larger one for when she is full grown, but I really have no idea how to!!! Pics would be great, or maybe someone knows of a site???

Thanks!!

They are just plastic plants sold in the reptile section of my local petstores. They have a suction cup on them to attach to the cage walls.

Thanks for the pic!!! I checked out your albums too, and I really liked the "rock wall" background in your Kenyan sand snake tank, where'd you find that? I definitely might bite some of your ideas, thanks again!!!

Thanks for the compliments - steal away! I got the rock wall from this online store:

I don't have any pics right know but I would go with a vision cage, neodesha (used because they went out of business... again lol), or sterlite/rubbermaid tubs. They hold humidity way better than tanks. But I still LOVE terrariums for bps you just have to find a good misting schedule and it will be easy to keep up humidity. But it doesn't take as much time to humidify a vision, neodesha, or sterilite/rubbermaid tub because they are more enclosed. Of course drill some holes in the side of the sterlite/rubbermaid and maybe a 4"x4" square on top with some sreen covering it up.
