On the general lizard forum ! I'm sorry you lost an agama, thats a shame.

As far as the collared jumping up and smacking his nose, I have one named Kong, that used to do that, and know many peolple who have had the same problem.

They will sometimes settle down when they get used to their new home. And some just like to jump up there. They can really make their noses quite scarred.

For now you can dab some neosporin, or an antibiotic ointment on it. Should help healing.

There is another forum buddy on here who actually made some sort of softer top under the screening somehow, so when his jumped up he no longer made his nose bleed.

I hope that he will settle down for you, seems you have not had him that long. They sure make nice pets when they are handled regularly. I think you will like him alot.

Just give him some time, hopfully the jumping will stop or atleast slow down.

Let us know how you make out, Chris!

i bought a female from them about two weeks ago.

they say that all thier animals are captive bred. based on the collareds i saw there i would bet your animal is wild caught.

wild caught animals stress more than captives, but will acclimate under correct conditions.

is your lizard rubbing on the top of the cage or the sides?

do you live in broward county?

here is my female from underground.
