New tortoise coming in and I need help!

Sera Aug 12, 2004 10:54 PM

A friend of mine called me today about a tortoise one of her co-workers has. she says it is about three years old, the size of your hand and is either a sulcatta or african spurred. This tortoise has been fed only oatmeal for quite some time. the co-worker is just giving it away, so I obliged and will be taking him in. I usually do rescues on lizards, monitors, and some snakes, so this will be my first tortoise. Now, if the guy has just been fed oatmeal, what do I need to make up for nutritionally? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sera
